Hello all,

Apparently, Nick Watt's blog, http://wattsunique.com/blog/ is down. The lastest record for his Firefly, Orsova type inswining ballista, is 845 yards but I also heard this figure improved and now it can cast bolts up to a mile. Could anyone point me where can I can most recent information about his experiments?

Thanks in advance.

This site was last updated in 2012 so it may not be as update as you want. I don't know if you are aware of it already?

I would not be surprised of that distance 1 mile. We fired ours in Spain not under much tension up into the highest point at Urna, our 3 span just about half way up even that was wound down. We fired Carnifax it cleared the highest point passed the city walls and ended up in a field as it was being ploughed   It just shows how powerful a inswinger can be. I also liked a pick up as a means of transport  Hope he can come back with more info on preformance
Regards Brennivs
