"sarcina" is the word for the entire carry kit.. furca, loculus and everything eles strapped, lashed, and hung on it.<br>

Ah! So then is it an applied word like loculus, or segmentata- not really the real Roman word because we don't know it? Or is it a real Roman word applied to the furca pack because it makes sense? Or is it the real Roman word for the furca pack (with everything tied on to it ).<br>
