however brought me to the TOC, the introduction and a three-language summary ( as customary with RGZM-Publications)
The book , if I've read the TOC right, is a full-blown Version of the guide which has been published on occasion of a exhibtion at Mainz.

Having bought the small guide of ca. 58 pages at 18,00€ and being a "happy customer" I' surely buy the larger Version of 392 pages if I needed it.

Just received my copy of this book today. It is massive. Extensive and full to the brim with color photos.
It is the most detailed and complete work I have ever seen on the subject of late roman helmets. I foresee this book becoming a staple reference book for decades to come.
There are helmets that I've never seen before in it and photos of unique angles (such as inside the bowl) that are not commonly seen.
Get it if you have the cash :woot:

You won't be disappointed. This book is the ABSOLUTE LATE ROMAN HELMET BIBLE! Well, until they find another hoard at least. ;-)
It's just.. beautiful. I'm at a loss for words. There were several helmets I never saw before (well, helmet parts mostly), and just pages and pages of in-depth discussion. Awesome.
I will now lock myself in the bathroom for a full week. Yes, wetting the pants is in order. :-P
