I have been looking at KOA at the Deepeeka and DSC brass helmets. There are slight differences between the two. Out of these two, which one is the most historically correct?

Thanks for the replys. I will probably go ahead and go with bronze. My wife actually suggested it. The same issues of finding one in stock still applies. So if anyone has knowledge of who may have one in the U.S. it would be helpful.

I would also suggest trimming down the cheek guards of the DSC corinthian, if you have the tools necessary to do so. It is thin and soft enough that one can even do it with scissors for metal sheet.
The size of the DSC helmet is perhaps slightly bigger than it should for most people, but it doesn't look as big as some other brands. I would say with trimming the cheek guards a bit it looks okay.

I will never, ever buy a helmet anymore which doesn`t fit like a glove (with proper padding). Once you had a custom made helmet which fits like a glove, there`s no turning back.

Jyrki, I'll get you a measurement of the bowl if you still want it, I just need to find my fabric measuring tape. My hat size is about 7.25-7.5 I believe and it fits me fine, custom no, but I did do mock combat with it with no problem

I'd really like the to get a Corinthian, but it seems that (at lest on this site) the Pilos and the Thracian are the most like the original artefacts.

HL106 seems to be a Deepaka "early Corinthian". Are there any other early helmets available?
The reason I ask is that I just love this helmet in the Pitt Rivers museum, but there don't seem to be any commercially available helmets that are so plain and simple.

Not a lot of demand for 'Archaic Corinthians" as the later versions are more impressive looking.
I'd recommend Matt Lukes as he made mine: http://fabricaromanorum.shawwebspace.ca/pages/view/_update_new-_one_piece_archaic_c/
Other custom makers offer such helmets, but Matt's are one piece and the correct weight.
It will cost more, but in the long run you will be happier as it's more accurate and will fit your head well.
