Hi john sorry for late reply many thanks for your comments. I do not own the big set it belongs to my Roman group  I made it in 1997 and have been adding to it over the years. My kit is in the black bag, I am always looking for instruments that make your eyes water  otherwise I found it a great subject to study after swords. Just start of with a few small pieces, I found over the years even without instruments being able to talk about the medical care and surgery works wonders. People sometimes are in disbelief at the range of operations and care available then, also I have had people that will tell you that they have had that type of operation. I have even talked to surgeons and doctors that have been amazed at how many instruments are still in use today. Look forward to you getting you apron on

By the way, I am trying to contact Steve Wargraff in view of the Roman Festival in Nijmegen and a commission. Does anyone know how to contact him, preferably by mail??

Im completely envious!... Im looking foward to starting my own. Roberts already assisting me towards this. Seems a full set of these instruments would be quite a unique collection in the world today. You've some serious bragging rights with that one.
Cheers
JW
