My recent greave reproduction - Hildebrandt - 11-27-2013 I would like to share with the community a pair of greaves I have just finished. They are based on 4thC BC Greek artifacts, but are made from commercial bronze as an accessible alternative to a true tin bronze. I recreated the form, musculature and moulded edge of the originals, but made the greaves specifically to fit casts of my customer's legs. I hope you like them! More information and photographs are available on this Etsy listing. -Hildebrandt My recent greave reproduction - Pointer - 11-27-2013 Absolutely Beautiful! Jeffrey!!! My recent greave reproduction - Hildebrandt - 11-30-2013 Thank you all for your compliments! Making fully-enclosed greaves is a satisfying challenge, and I am glad you like the results. While researching this pair, I became interested in several other types from different contexts that I hope I will get a chance to recreate at some point. -Hildebrandt My recent greave reproduction - Peter Raftos - 12-01-2013 As my Dad used to say " Bloody Marvellous!"
