This was pointed out to me by Frances McIntosh of Hadrian's Wall Museums. An entire military equipment volume as a free download (there's other stuff in the series there too):

None of it is in English, but English and German are pretty close so its easy to pick out some words in the article. Many of them are "Germanized" Latin or English terms.
