The Ratae Militia Cohors I Tungrorum - scotti73 - 03-31-2013

Our little group here in Leicester has grown. We recreate Cohors I Tungrorum in the last quarter of the first century AD as well as recreating warriors of the Brigantes tribe. We have recently been given permission to use the 2nd Century Roman baths site at the Jewry Wall museum as our training base.
We are attempting to recreate a patrol unit of the type involved in low intensity warfare along the Stanegate frontier and later Hadrians wall.
We have a website www.romansinleicester.weebly.com and are also on facebook www.facebook.com/TheRataeMilitia

heres a photo from our most recent event, the Christ in the Centre passion play in Leicester along with Crispus from the RMRS.

All looking very good. If only all new groups started up so well. I look forward to seeing how it develops over the next few years.

It was good to meet up with you last week at the play. Thanks so much for making yourselves available at such short notice and doing such a good job. Well done too for putting up with me as well!
