Come out and enjoy the 1400 Latin Scholars! A great event with intellgent questions!


National Junior Classical League 2012,
Wake Forest University, Winstom Salem NC

Friday July 27 Setup, arrive 1400, setup, dinner

Saturday July 28 Displays and Castra. Kit up at 0900 to 1700. Tear down at 1700 followed by dinner. Standard "mini" castra plan, 4 tents (centurio, Leg XI Leather, 2 Papilos) Scorpio, Ballista, Tripastos, also medical and cavalry display as well as any others who can make it out.

SOTW Cut down display as well (no weapons)

Sunday July 29 Travel day

Amenities: As it will be hot we have arranged to camp in the treeline in the center of campus and have access to a cooling room, cold water, and indoor facilities in the event of bad weather. So expect warmth and bring your linen tunics! Location is in the center of campus about 200 yards from the student center. Middle of the JCL event!

Specials: Students involved in the JCL are not allowed to handle weapons. No ground fires.

Rooms on Campus: We also have 5 rooms with two bunks each for the first ten solid committments! Stay for free! Also have arranged to have lunch provided. Contact [email protected]

Notes: This is the Big brother national convention to the GJCL where we have experienced so much fun and success! 1400 students and parents to show our Roman stuff too.

Parking/Loading: We can drive onto the grass at the camp site. Overnight trailer parking will be provided immediately adjacent to the site. Parking shoudl not be a problem.
