This is a free iPad app that lets you create a kind of 3D model of an object, letting anyone spin it and zoom in from a webpage, etc. I am not sure that it would create a 3d template, such that you could guide a 3D printer, but that might be an eventual function. However, just getting helmets in 3D, for example, would be an interesting use.
