Caryatid project at the AIA, - richsc - 01-11-2012

There was a lot at this past AIA convention; one of the most surprising, among the lectures on pottery fabrics, was the Caryatid project by Dr Schwab of Fairfield Univ. She was just putting up a poster on this..I think the AIA is rather strict on paper deadlines..and I talked to her about the recreation of the caryatid hairstyles. She had noticed that all the hairstyles on the six Kore are different, and recognized that they looked do-able and quite realistic. Her project at

Those look amazingly complex. Imagine how many hours women must have sat and waited while someone fixed their hair.
