Rich Italians replace culture budget cuts - Epictetus - 07-18-2011 Rich men in ancient Rome often contributed their own funds for the public benefit. It looks like some wealthy Italians are doing it again today. Why not admit it is not possible :oops: and instead give private people hefty fiscal reasons to contribute. The italians now have to down size their over-sized and inefficient State (as all oversized states are) and could concentrate its efforts, in this sector, to control and coordinate private funds and workings at the national and local level (a healthy art industry brings good money to the locals). Maybe rich people are the only solution ... The situation is really disastrous.
