The son of Leonidas I - Mythos_Ruler - 03-05-2010

I see in Wikipedia that Leonidas' son was named Pleistarchos, but Wikipedia has a very very short article and is not very helpful. What do we know of his life? We know he ruled for 22 years and did not live to see his 40th year. What happened to him?

His name means ruler of many.
Nothing worthy mentioned has been recorded about him.
The shadow of the Royal House succession problems was following him.
Yet Crypteia action is pure speculation

Ploutarch's MORALS (laconian proverbs) preserves the following two things:

Someone said that a singer sang like a nightingale.
Bah! said Pleistarchos I have heard the real birds song

Somebody told told the prince that a foulmouthed fellow told something good about him.
Did he was told I am dead said Pleistarchos, for this guy has no good word for any living person

Kind regards
