I take it its the oone at the bottom? The other new Roman swords are nice, wish I could afford one of those spatha!

When I came across his work some time ago I was pretty darn impressed with his Sutton Hoo sword :!:

Wow Confusedhock: ! In fact I don`t have any particular real life example of my next sword, the difference between my first sword and this is mainly a bone grip and a "monster-size" blade...

Re: New sword from Patrick Barta - Gaius Julius Caesar - 01-07-2010

Monster size? Wider or longer or both?

Re: New sword from Patrick Barta - Virilis - 01-07-2010

Both Confusedhock: !!!

Re: New sword from Patrick Barta - Gaius Julius Caesar - 01-07-2010

Welded pattern and fullers?

No, this time just a simple blade  ...

Re: New sword from Patrick Barta - Gaius Julius Caesar - 01-07-2010

Look forward to seeing it.
But every time I look at patriks swords, I wish I could justify having some of those pattern swords.

Tell me about it, me too  !

Re: New sword from Patrick Barta - Cheyenne - 01-07-2010

I ordered one of the Thorsberg Spathas -They are probably the cheapest one he does -

One of the comitatus members made me a beautiful pattern welded one with a lovely curly birch and cherrywood type VI migr. era spatha. Its edged and beautifully weighted - so one p/welded blade is enough for me for the time being.
