Just some suggestions, but try Simon Scarrow's "Under the Eagle" if you can find it. He has a second book coming out this summer sometime.

If you want fiction, I read a good book for school. I think it was called "In Caesar's Shadow". It is about a small uprising 1 year before Vercingetorix rose up in Gaul. Good book, but I know little about it's accuracy.

I just started the first book of a series by Damion Hunter "Centurions" , which is light reading so far. I like that centurions were lorica segmentata and have 'cloth' shield covers. Otherwise the illustrations are straight out of any good textbook.
Richard
I just started the first in that series as well. Trying to track down the third in the series with no success.

If you search Half.com you will probably find a copy. Since I think Amazon owns half, they show up there as well.
Aulus
