Roman Ports: Ostia and Portus (Italy) - Restitvtvs - 05-29-2009 Found great websites for Ostia and Portus: http://www.ostia-antica.org/indexes.htm http://www.portusproject.org/ Includes some Late Roman content: http://www.portusproject.org/romanbackg ... tique.html Personally, I find Isola Sacra and its Isola Sacra Necropolis most interesting. Re: Roman Ports: Ostia and Portus (Italy) - SigniferOne - 05-31-2009 Wow this really is most interesting. Re: Roman Ports: Ostia and Portus (Italy) - Yurko - 04-29-2011 Salvete, I stumbled on to this short article today regarding a ship discovery at Ostia so thought I would share; http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110428/ap_on_re_eu/eu_italy_ancient_ship Found this existing thread on Ostia so tagged it here.
