Roman Ports: Ostia and Portus (Italy) - Restitvtvs - 05-29-2009

Found great websites for Ostia and Portus:

http://www.ostia-antica.org/indexes.htm

http://www.portusproject.org/

Includes some Late Roman content: http://www.portusproject.org/romanbackg ... tique.html

Personally, I find Isola Sacra and its Isola Sacra Necropolis most interesting.

Wow this really is most interesting. That geometric port looks so impressive, and really leaves very little to the old great port of Carthage!

Salvete,

I stumbled on to this short article today regarding a ship discovery at Ostia so thought I would share;

Found this existing thread on Ostia so tagged it here.

Best regards,
