Hi Mateo. Please do a search here in the greek section about "Olympias". As usually it'll prove very rich, i'm sure. I remember there are some web pages that explain in every detail its construction, but I don't have the URL at hand. A search in yahoo or google about "Olympias trirreme" will point you to these sites. As far as i can remember the greek navy site has some info on the project,as it was the navy that constructed it.

Re: Olympia Trirreme - Pericles of Rhodes - 08-01-2008

Hi Mateo. I have got the book you refer to, I believe. It is called The Athenian Trireme: The History and Reconstruction of an Ancient Greek Warship and is by J. S. Morrison, J. F. Coates and N. B. Rankov. If you want serious amounts of detail on the Olympias trireme this is your book! It also has information on ancient triremes and some design sketches etc.

In English-

hope this is what your after!

Hi, the Trireme Trust has its own web site, don't forget to have a look at that. Also, there are two editions of "The Athenian Trireme" which are quite different, and it's worth looking at both.
