Festival Of Minerva - Deva 25/26 May \'08 - Iceman - 05-17-2008

We at Roman Tours/Deva Victrix are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Festival of Minerva here in Deva (Chester) and are after last years successful Inaugural event , this years spectacular experience will be staged over 2 days during the Whitsun bank holiday on the Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May 2008.

The main events will be taking place at the site of the original 2nd Century Shrine to Minerva on Edgars Fields, Handbridge, Chester (which is the only remaining rock carved shrine left in the western hemisphere), with other events taking place in the Grosvenor Museum and throughout the ancient walled city of Deva, including a full religious ceremony to the Great Goddess and also a military march through the streets in full view of the great Caesar himself.

Hi Graham,
Brutus is away in Moscow so I thought I'd post for him.

The event is over two days 11am to 3pm both days with a morning parade through the city to the shrine at Edgars field and the Minervan rites performed about 1pm.
