Roman signifer - Olaf The Viking - 01-21-2008 A friend of mine asked me for a figurine for an Armorama contest. I have 40-50 1:32 figures and no time to paint them. So it was an opportunity to have one of them paint. Please feel free to show me what he did wrong: Re: Roman signifer - Olaf The Viking - 01-21-2008 He already knows that the tail of the goat on the shield should be panted like the goat. He thought it was a flower. Re: Roman signifer - jvrjenivs - 01-21-2008 I think it's an awesome paintjob. Wanted I could paint like that! Re: Roman signifer - Renius - 01-22-2008 Excellent looking figure. I think the paint job is really nice. Your friend has talent! Re: Roman signifer - maius - 01-22-2008 I used to paint 54mm figures, i think your friend did an outstanding job. Great looking figure. Maius/Bill Re: Roman signifer - Senovara - 01-23-2008 Great work! Nice details! One of these days I should try painting figurines too. Re: Roman signifer - MARCVS PETRONIVS MAIVS - 01-25-2008 OK, this is coming from a completely unexperienced painter and amateur roman enthusiast, but is the pole for the Vexillum also supposed to be painted red (Insert question mark here - sorry, keyboard is not configured). |
