nop. Never heard of it.
We only receive BBC 1 and 2. So if no Belgian channel takes over, we have to hope that some non-commercial channel abroad will show it.

Please see the following Wikipedia entry about the film, "Serenity". It was a feature film based upon the short-lived TV show, "Firefly", from the prolific mind of Joss Whedon, the brain behind both the movie and then the TV series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." I had suggested all of the women characters in the stories except River Tam in a post back on 16/01/2008. And I think that Kaylee is a sensational suggestion. If the TV series never ran in the UK, then the character will be a true exotic and known only to the true "Firefly" fans. It would be an inside joke or a stealth role. :lol:

A great series! I especially liked the Serenity movie! There was a quiz on the net where you could see which Firefly character you were! I was ...1. Zoe (yay!)

I can't remember, but what was it that Kaylee says when Simon Tam finally states that he loves her. It's when they are pinned down by the Rievers in Mr. Universe's center. It suddenly makes her decide that life is worth fighting for after all.

Found it, and this is no reflection on anyone participating in this thread.
The scene is that the crew of the Firefly is barricaded in a room on the planet where Mr. Universe had his operation before the Operative go to him. They are heavily beset by the Rievers, a group of maniac cannibals from the rim of their galaxy:
"Dr. Simon Tam: In all that time on the ship... I've always regretted... not being with you.
Kaylee Frye: With me? You mean to say... as in sex?
Dr. Simon Tam: I mean to say.
Kaylee Frye: To Hell with this. I'm gonna live!"
At the end of that sequence, River Tam, the teenaged girl goes into action with an axe and proceeds to slaughter all of the Rievers on the planet.

After all of everyones hard work I didn't want to admit that I'm unable to go! Although I have seen one of the theme evenings for a history event in May is also sci-fi/fantasy. There's also a pirate party and a multi-period one where you have to wear a combination of three periods all at once! No idea what to do there, might have to sneak round to different groups and ask to borrow bits and bobs :lol:
