Although, not all your Founding Fathers valued a Classical education: Tom Paine was rather scornful of a Greek or Lattin education for example (although I suspect he was embarrassed that he didn't have one himself).
An interesting article, although I'm skeptical about Latin having major benefits that rigorous study of any major language plus math doesn't.
