TV Show - any good? - Ironhand - 11-29-2007

I was at Suncoast today and in the BBC section. They had a DVD of a show called Battlefield Britain. Is it any good? Considering the DVD was about $50.00 I would hope so.

So-so i would say

I was involved in one of the episodes (Hastings) so in theory i would rave about it, interesting concept (mass use of CGI replication techniques) but it's mass market history programming so don;t expect too much from it.

Nothing inherently wrong, but more (slightly tarnished) glitz than content in my opinion.

That said the one plus point from my perspective was my mum saying she had seem me on BBC1 during a prime time TV show (recognizing the gamby she made several years earlier).

There is a hilarious composite of the Saxon line stretching off into the distance at the top of 'senlac ridge' (actually a slight incline somewhere in Kent) and you can see this big chap repeated every 12 chaps down the line (I'm 5" taller and a wee bit wider than the other 11 guys in the shot).

Cheers
N.
