New Recruit From The Celtic Fringe - romanonick - 11-23-2007

Hello,
I have recently stumbled across this excellent site in the usual manner of random 'snakes and ladders' browsing and was immediatly struck by the the fund of knowledge that so many people have and more importantly so willing to share it. No po-faced 'professionalism' here it seems!
Anyway, I joined and I am glad to be among your company.
My interest in things 'Roman' stem from recent efforts to stitch together a novel of later Roman Britain involving imaginary characters from the army and tribesfolk living beyond the remit of Rome.
Having been brought up with the 'establishment' slant on Roman Britain based on warts and all '60's schooling, my re-learning process still goes on with an ever increasing curve! Bedoyere, Salway etc have been a great help!
Anyway, this is just to say Hi for now.................

Romanonick. aka Nick Deacon from Cornwall, England. Big Grin D

Hi Nick,

Welcome to the Roman forum that also has a place for Greeks, Germans and Celts!

I never realised one could find us looking for snakes and/or ladders...

One thing though. I know you signed your message with your real name, which is good, but our rules say that you must eneter your real name into your signature.
