Seriously, does anyone know of a functioning replica of a Roman bath house, with frigidarium, caldarium, etc? I'd love to try it.

Sure! I have one with the works. Palaestra, librarium, tepidarium, frigidarium, everything. It's heated with a fully restored hypocaust. The frigidarium is cooled with the expressions of German hostages, and has bath slaves that come with the house. It's attached to my Arizona beach property.

Sorry Rich, I just couldn't resist. I've idly wondered how to build one. Using period fueling methods obviously wouldn't be economical today, but someone with the means could do it with electricity. And no, I don;'t know f a working one. I'd really like to though. I'd just happen to 'break down' nearby and ask for the owner's hospitiality Big Grin
