The mausoleum of a very late 4th/early 5th century Foederati chief, with a full set of weaponry, all textiles intact, with a pouch of tobacco, some chocolate and some coffee in the tomb.

Either that or a chance discovery in a field....a wooden platter on which there is mounted the withered remains of two bits of human flesh and a small silver plaque on which there is an inscription which reads, simply, thus:-

"Here, for all to see, the ar*e of Arthur, war leader of the Britons, victor at the Siege of Badon (now on Lidda's land)...handed to him on this plate by Cynric, son of that famous Cerdic who came from his homeland across the sea to the land of his mother's people".

How about Pontius Pilate's retirement villa, or a box containing a hundred additional biographies from Plutarch?

But seriously, I wouldn't mind if they found the remains of a Roman city here in California. That way I'd be in driving distance of some historical and archaeological goodness that's not along the lines of native pottery shards.

Just the Epaminondas and Scipio would do!
