Yes, that's another thing I mentioned in my first post. There are several things which are different compared to things like Traian's or Marcus column. The representation seems far less "standardized" than on other monuments.

As long as they don't use them with their left hands I'm still satisfied to see all this variation as artist's licence..

There is one scene on Trajan's Column showing soldiers wearing their swords on the left...
