Salvete omnes,

I am looking for a good photo/photo's of the parma with the procession/triumph parade painted on it. I think I saw it published in one of the ARMA numbers.

I was wondering if this painting was based on an original example or not.

Thanks in advance,
Valete
The ESG have one of these I believe but their website seems to have disappeared? http://www.esg.ndirect.co.uk/ no longer works?

However IIRC it's pictured in Dan Peterson's book.
Thanks. The ESG site is gone indeed...

Do you know if this shield painting is based on an original? I can't find that number of ARMA anymore...

Vale,
Hi Jef,

My error!

It wasn't the ESG, but Legio X Gemina (NL) It's on page 58 of Dan Peterson's "Roman Legions Recreated in Full Colour".

It looks like the triumphal procession of Titus to me, with the odd bull sacrifice thrown in for good measure!

Found it out a few minutes ago too

So it appears that it is purely speculative as a parma design. But it looks splendid! Confusedhock:
