I'm currently typing up some ramblings for my website and getting really fed up with the spell checker highlighting every other word (Germanicus, Germanians for example)

I hope this is the right place to post, but was thinking if we could pull together a list of Roman and Greek words we could save these down to a file and use it as a custom dictionary in open office.
that would almost copying a Greek and latin dictionary! Confusedhock:
i understand waht you mean but that would be a lot of work!
Well i think you could narrow it down a fair bit such as

Names of places
Names of People
Military Terms
etc etc

and yeap it would be a lot of work! but isnt that one of the great things of the internet ?
Hi Chance,
Sounds like a useful idea for classicists. One wonders if there's really nothing like that available already.

There are plenty of electronic sources for words, so copy and paste into the dictionary list? If one person took A, another B, etc, etc.
Well to get this moving anyone who is interested in contributing they can email us at RomanGreek att Chance1234 dott com . I will set up a quick web page later today.
That'll work, but we can host it right here on Romanarmy.com too. I could give you and whoever wanted to cooperate rights to add/edit/publish stuff on the site.
hi Jasper,

whats the best email to contact yourself ?
How about the email button under my postings?
I do grow tired of Open Office getting upset with me when ever I type up anything Roman. This would be a great thing to have.

darn this new farn technology ;-) )
just a quick note to say this is going well, the add in will be for both microsoft office and open office.

I find myself kidnapped to leeds and shefield at the moment, but hopefully be on track to have the first version ready for june
I think this is a good idea. I was copy-editing something on fortifications the other day and my pc kept trying to change castrae to castrate, which completely ruined the meaning!
Im ready to go with the microsoft word version of this, however i could really do with a few more topic lists, any help would be much appreciated.
