The Nidda Coolus 'H' has an 'L' section brow guard, and as you can see the provision for a crest attachment. AFAIK it was a 'T' slot fitment as on the Italic a,b,c d types.
The Coolus type'I' from Mullheim also had a crest holder probably a spike fitment like the G.

Here's a repro of that helmet that I made a number of years ago. I decided to go with the Italic style crest holder.

I gave the owner a choice of several types of cheekpieces, and he went with what Robinson calls "type 24", from Carnuntum.
