Does all Imperial Gallic helmets found have a browguard? Or is there some that ha been made/used without?
They all had them, as far as I know. They are missing on some excavated originals, but it's usually easy to see the holes where they had been riveted.

I think there are one or two of the more recently-discovered oddball helmets, like those from the Guttman collection, that might not have had a browguard, but best to study the pictures for a while before concluding that they were made without one. The ones I'm thinking of do have "eyebrows" but don't really fit into the Robinson Imperial Gallic classification easily. So they may not count for your purposes!

Thanks Matt!

I just wondered because I haven´t seen any! So I figured they all had but you never know!

Martin
There's this possible Gallic C which seems to have not had one. Ex-Guttmann collection, whereabouts now unknown.

I've seen someone wearing a repro of this; a French or Dutch group I think?
Right, thanks, that's one of the ones I was thinking about. (*I* wouldn't call it "Gallic C", maybe "Guttmann Mutant Gallic X" or something!) Still love to crawl inside it and make sure no holes have been closed up by restoration, but I suspect it's pretty much in original condition. Manning Imperial makes a WONDERFUL repro of this, by the way!
