I am putting together a 1st cent. AD cornician impression and it's time to get hamata. Which style is seen/seen most in the surviving art (i.e doubled or not)?
I'd say either. Personal preference really.

If I were to choose one type, it would be with a cape doubling as seen on the grave stele of standard bearers. But, that's MY personal choice.

Alternatively, why not go for squamata?
Thanks, I may go that route when I have the time and money to make my own. :?

The Find It stuff is (just) within my reach. Confusedhock:
I'd do what Edge (Gaivs Calvus) did to his 'find-it' hamata - which is to remove the leathering on the bottom hem, and replace the fastening hooks.
Okay. Thanks agian.

I'll also go back and read that thread again.
