Salve!

I have a school project coming up, the topic being, as you may have guessed, the Persian empire. I was wondering if anyone had some good sources for info. You see, the only info I have been able to dig up was very generic, and lacking in depth. Since the project is only going on for about a week-and-a-half, I would prefer on-line stuff, since ordering(or borrowing) a book and reading it might take a little too long. All help is much appreciated.

Thanks!
In all modesty: try my website [url:315nm5g4]http://www.livius.org/persia.html[/url]
Off-topic, but I thought I'd say what an excellent website that Is :!:
Excellent site! Thank you!

Anyone else got anything to add?

Anything on the military?
I found this article:

PERSIA AND THE LATE ROMAN EMPIRE [284 - 651], Balance of Power and Spheres of Influence Stability in Asia Minor:

http://timothygrayson.com/PDFs/PersiaByzantium.pdf.pdf

And this one:

A LATE ROMAN–BYZANTINE FORT AT TABUS ON THE EUPHRATES
(M. Lönnqvist et al, CIPA 2005 XX International Symposium, 26 September – 01 October, 2005, Torino, Italy).

Do you mean the Achaemenid Persian empire (Persians who fought Alexander) or the Sassanid Persian empire (Persians who fought the Romans)?
Aside from our Jona's site...which is a supurb source for facts and information
you can also find quite a bit on here...CAIS it also has a military section.
and some maps via here...maps
Project over. We got a 5-(Norway uses 1-6, the higher the better).

Many thanks to everyone who posted.
