OK, I'm comming Definitely. I also prefer to coma along with some other Dutch members.

For hotel I'd prefer Top City Hotel Ost am Kö.

I don't have my timetable for the week after the conference at this moment, so don't know if I could skip monday morning, but if so, Friday evening - Monday morning if fine by me.
Hi,

I see that I'm opening the conference. What an honor! And that for my first lecture out of university, now ten years ago... :!:

So I know what I'll be doing in my spare time till then: prepare, prepare, prepare... Big Grin

About the questions:
1. Do you need any equipment / gadgets for your lecture? (Beamer, Overhead etc.)
Beamer would be nice, laser-pointer also. Should I bring my own portable?

2. Where do you want to stay ( which hotel )
Well, I would prefer the hotel everyone is staying at (if possible). I can only stay till sunday. Must be at work on monday.

3. When do you arrive, when do you intend to leave?
Being first to lecture, I will come in friday evening.

3. Are you allergic to something? Do you need any medical attendance?
Medical attendance? Sure, to calm my nerves, bring along lots of valium please Big Grin

4. Will you come a) definitely b) probably c) perhaps
Most probably (you never know what can happen!)

5. Do you have any proposals or ideas concerning the schedule, do you want to have something changed?
Nothing I can think of now.

See you there,

Hans
Sounds like a fantastic schedule! Great planning and coordination, Christian.

I will not be able to attend this year's event; perhaps next year. Cry

If funding is needed, I may be able to assist. Just PM me.
Salve Cai,

I just stumbled about something in your program:

Wouldn't it be better to have Christian's lecture on living history/reenactment before the discussion about the guidelines for a respectable living history?

And why did you give me for my lecture more time than for the others?
Quote:Wouldn't it be better to have Christian's lecture on living history/reenactment before the discussion about the guidelines for a respectable living history?
Yes, that is probably right, however sunday afternoon is not filled, so I put these two just somewhere.. Smile

Quote:And why did you give me for my lecture more time than for the others?
Because i am stupid and can´t read the clock. Sad
Gratias tibi ago, Cai

I was already wondering how I should've filled that time.
Hurrah! My friend Marco and I will be there too!
Marco is not a member of RAT, but knows a lot about ancient history and is sincerely interested.

For the Dutch-Belgian squad: two seats in car available.

1. Do you need any equipment / gadgets for your lecture? (Beamer, Overhead etc.)

Overhead projector would be nice; not necessary.

2. Where do you want to stay ( which hotel )

No preferences.

3. When do you arrive, when do you intend to leave?

Need to be back on Monday, which means that we will leave on Sunday.

3. Are you allergic to something? Do you need any medical attendance?

No.

4. Will you come a) definitely b) probably c) perhaps

Definitely, definitely, definitely.

5. Do you have any proposals or ideas concerning the schedule, do you want to have something changed?

No changes; Marco is a professional cameraman who may add to the fun.
Jona, is one seat still free?

Do you guys already choise a hotel?
I'm a bit confused. My question about booking referred to attendance to listen to the lectures, not hotels. Do you have to book a place for attendance, or can you just walk in?
Just walk in. However, it is good to know who comes, so that the room has an appropriate size. Smile
@Jasper, Jurjen,
We still have two seats available in the car, but we will probably leave one day earlier to visit Worms; and we will probably leave a bit early on Sunday. I am not the driver - that's Marco. I will ask him and will send a p.m. as soon as possible.
Quote:Organization. I need to know the following things from all participants and guests:

1. Do you need any equipment / gadgets for your lecture? (Beamer, Overhead etc.)

Overhead would be nice, but it isn't essential. I am quite confident in my ability to bore crowds without technical equipment.

Quote:2. Where do you want to stay ( which hotel )

Which one's the cheapest? I'm on a tight-ish budget this year.

Quote:3. When do you arrive, when do you intend to leave?

Most likely arrive Friday afternoon/evening, leave Monday morning.

Quote:3. Are you allergic to something? Do you need any medical attendance?

No

Quote:4. Will you come a) definitely b) probably c) perhaps

As definitely as I can make it (i.e. barring sudden illness or accidents)

Quote:5. Do you have any proposals or ideas concerning the schedule, do you want to have something changed?

No

Quote:The costs for the conference will depend on the amount of participants, but should be less than 20 € including the visit to the Museum, I suppose.
Food not included, of course. I can get you to the good restaurants, but I cannot anticipate what you guys want to eat. Wink

Anyone serve Apician?
You mean Apicius? AFAIK no, unfortunately. But We have a quite good Egyptian Restaurant... Big Grin P
If we do not get more lectures together for sunday, I´ll think maybe we are making a tour to either Epfach, or maybe by train to the Archäologische Staatssammlung in Munich. It will take us about an hour to get there.
What do you guys think?
Good plan!
