Hello
I am an ilustrator and I am currently researching the ancient Lusitanians, one of the most feared enemies of Rome.
My aim is to produce a series of illustration about their fighting men.
This is the first one I have produced, a cavalryman.
Can anyone help me with sources, for this subject?
Thanks in advance

Very nice picture!! Do you have more?
hoplite14gr\\n[quote]Spanish firm Andrea Press in their title "Hanibal" made some good examples of Hannibal's Spanish allies and give photoes of the sources too.

Hello
the image I posted above is only a part of the illustration that will feature 2 more cavalrymen.
I am thinking of using a armoured horse, althought the sources for it are very few and of dificult interpretation.

Thanks Friend!
Hello
As I have stated in the last post I will includ also an armoured horse; like the one featured by Angus McBride in Osprey's Rome's enemies spanish armies.
There is much controversy regarding the exact nature of the horse's armour (does it envolve the horse's legs or not?); I am inclined to think of it as a cape falling along the lgas and not tied to it. I include a rough sketche help understand my point.
Does anyone have another idea?
