This one is the last shield painted by the Legio I Germanica.
The lion is based on the Dura Europos scutum.

In general all the scutums are be based in the column traiana or Aureliana, between others
We believe that his scutums were very decorated. by it we realize variations with other archaeological records.

Others are direct reproductions of for example Dura Europos.

Likewise we can see that the drawings of the Notitia dignitatum are very estilized and simple.
