Just curious what the deal was with the website? I think it is far past it's due, only because, IMHO a centralised website containing a master list of legions and groups, articles, and such would be a great contribution to this global community. It could further serve as a rallying point, if you will, to further enhance our sense of brotherhood, between the legions around the world.

Having said that, is there any way, any of us can help?

I'd love to add a link to RA.com from Totalwar.org,
CA have Rome:Totalwar coming soon (read eventually - possibly 4Q 2003),
so you are guaranteed a swarm of visitors from our forums who will want to know more about Rome and it's armies.
What needs to be done?
hmm,

Telefragged are a FREE host with UNLIMITED workspace,

they host us bunch of heathens at www.totalwar.org

They ALSO allow UNLIMITED free file storage (using a different server than the web site), which is handy for us,
we have a gig of downloads and add about 40MB a week in maps and mods,

And they are VERY much on the ball when it comes to uptime/downtime
- a month ago they updated their download server and all our file download problems went away - excellent,

- last week they updated their site server and all our site down problems appear to have vanished (and even when the problem existed we would be down for a couple of hours about twice a week - which is DAMN good for a free host!)

Telefragged are a game orientated host, they want to host sites that specialise in gaming,
you guys specialise in Roman Era Games, and i would recommend emphasising the PC Gaming side of that and list the games you will be providing support/information for,

Telefragged can be reached at www.telefragged.com

and remember this is AFFORDABLE hosting - absolutely free...
I use www.pair.com and have not had a single problem with them .. if that helps.
After a great deal of collective effort, Jasper and I have diagnosed and fixed the problem with uploading RA.com, so the site can now be seen by clicking on the banner above.

Enjoy your first peek at the new RomanArmy.com. Of course, it's quite devoid of content for the time being, but the Staff will be working to fill the empty spaces with all the Roman goodness you can handle. (And we know you can handle a lot, judging from RAT!)
Leave your feedback in this forum.
For even cheaper (assuming you allready have a spare computer, linux server which is a free download from Red Hat and cable or dsl with a static IP) would be to host this yourself. Have the DNS point to your machine and yer done. Space and bandwidth are pretty much unlimited
There is nothing like a little night time entertainment, especially when it involves stockings, garters and a lot of contact....
Thats right... We're talking HOCKEY

Good to see you're back on line. I noticed (travelogue) that the trips are not accesible (yet?). Also, is the list of wanted tombstones up to date? I may have one for you.

Cheers,
Robert

Travelogues are being reformatted now. The list of tombstones is reasonably up to date. I'm designing a database to contain all the info, so it can be easily updated.
Greets

Jasper

Right. I'll send you the image then, shall I?
Cheers,
