maybe not an archeological or historical questions but I was wondering if you could
advise some very good historical novels to read ancient roman era and/or ancient greek period
I very much like novels from Simon Scarrow, Ben Kane, Christian Cameron, Steven Pressfield, ..

I think Christian Cameron and Steven Pressfield are the only recent novelists doing Greek military history. Both are excellent. You might also try
Mary Renault's books on Alexander and Theseus, which are classics. If you can find a copy, Rosemary Sutcliff's
The Flowers of Adonis is a great novel about Alcibiades.
Plenty of Roman novels about these days. Have you tried
Harry Sidebottom,
Antony Riches or
Ian Ross?
OeI've read a good few recently. The Ten Thousand by Michael Curtis Ford is worth a read. I read a free sample of Spoils of Olympus and that was very interesting.
I really enjoyed the HN Turtletaub books.
Colleen McCulloch's Masters of Rome series is unparallelled.
"Tides of War" by Steven Pressfield is also about Alcibiades and the Peloponnesian War.
"Pride of Carthage" by David A. Durham is also a good read.
Don't know if this is the proper place to advertise, but I just Kindled my first novel. "The Bandit King - Promotus" is the first in a series of planned novels following Alaric the Goth.

In writing this novel I have relied a lot on RAT for information and background that is used in this novel.
The Wandering King series, by Stephen Marte, is pretty good. Its about a Spartan member of the royal family of the Agiad line of kings. Pretty interesting book, a very controversial take on some of history's most well known Spartan heroes, like Leonidas, Pausanias, and others, who are portrayed as bad guys.
