Did soldiers paint the wings on their helmets (the ones which are driven into the helmet to make the bowl more effective against hits).
I painted the eyebrows or wings on my imperial gallic helmet, and it looks very nice. Any comment welcome is there any proof ?

One of our Group did the same painting two eyes. I believe it is correct, but there are little evidences so we don't do it massively for prudence.
