Colleen McCullough, famed author of the excellent Master of Rome series, died today. Her books did more to get me into Roman history than my undergraduate history degree did. She will be missed...

Hope the link works but this is a short Australian recording of Colleen McCullough discussing research for her Masters of Rome series in 2008. Would have been the most famous resident of Norfolk Island situated about 1400 kilometres east of Australia other than the descendants of the crew of the Bounty who were moved there from Pitcairn Island in 1850s.
