Does anyone know the specific time when Romans or auxiliary serving with Romans began using using the four horned saddle?

I believe the first four-horned saddles were used by Caesar's Gallic auxiliaries in the mid 1st century BC. They were thereafter used by Roman cavalry units. Confused
