Michael A Speidel (or Speidel Jr as he is colloquially known) has put a slew of his papers about the Roman army online at academia.edu. Many (but not all) are in German, many come from his 2009 book Heer und Herrschaft im Römischen Reich der Hohen Kaiserzeit, and all are worth reading (and there are some real gems in there).
