An exhibition of my paintings will be on display at The Museum of Lancashire.

Date: 17/08/2013 - 03/11/2013
Venue: Museum of Lancashire
An exhibition of illustrations by Graham Sumner.

Graham.
Thanks for the notice, Graham - I should be up in Manchester in late October so will head up the M6 to Preston to take a look at the exhibition before it closes.

For those who do not know the area, the Ribchester museum is not so far away from Preston for anyone who wants to combine a viewing of your wonderful paintings with a visit to the remains of a Roman fort.

Regards, John
Hello John

I hope you enjoy your visit and let me know what you think of the exhibition.

Graham.
Hi Graham,

Well, I made it last week and well worth the time it was as there are quite a few works on display, some of them new to me as they were done for on-site display rather than for publication in Osprey books etc.

And all were very nice to see "in the flesh" as I think the published reproductions lack some of the vivid detail of the originals. Thanks again for posting the notice on the forum.

Regards, John
Thank you John, I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the exhibition. It now travels to other Museums in Lancashire.

Attached are a few pictures from the display.

Graham.
Thanks Graham- is that a picture of a dromedarius? Will try and get up there to see the exhibition!
Hello Paul

The exhibition finished in Preston today. However it moves to other Museums in Lancashire in the new year. I will post details when I have them.

Yes that is a dromedarius!

Graham.
Was dromedarius made for some book?
Yes

It is part of the series of paintings I completed for 'Arms and Armour of the Imperial Roman Soldier 2', by Raffaele D'Amato. The text is nearing completion.

Graham.
Thanks for reply-that was my guess
