Here are some photos I took of a Samnits Attic Helmet that lives at the Getty Villa in Malibu. I'm not sure if anyone has posted these before, but here they are.

Thank you Brandon, great pics and a beautiful helmet indeed! Once again we can see how close-fitting and anatomically correctly formed many of these ancient helmets must have been.

Question;

This helmet is Samnite and has a Griffin head crest. The Samnite Gladiator did not but the Thracian Gladiator did.

Is there any significance to this?
