I have now activated the first few pages of the website to accompany my new Legionary Fortresses book. It is going to take some time to get them all up and running. There is an overall location map and then each site has a site map (with superimposed plan if available), bibliography, and a few notes about visiting and browsing it. Superimposing the plans on the maps is quite time-consuming, so I shall probably only manage a few a day; if your penchant is for fortresses beginning with Z, you'll have to be patient!

Excelent work Mike. Do you know how long it will take to finish? It seems a "monster" undertaking.
Any idea on how long it will take between updates on the website please.

I must declare that i do have a great interest in the letter E

Just over a month at my present workload to get the whole thing up (about three a day). Some sites are easy, others a pain. Once all the sites are there, I'll then update with new bibliography etc once a month, or thereabouts.

That wouldn't be the site recently renamed as Zexeter, by any chance? ;-)

Much less than that. All things being equal, barring zombie apocalypse or unforeseen asteroid strike, it should be one of those going up this Friday.

Mike Bishop
Let's skip the asteroid strike altogether, if you don't mind.

You left our 'Attack by Godzilla' ... He's never happy about being ignored, particularly when zombies are mentioned and he is not.

Your best bet would be mugging one of the four people to whom I've given a signed copy. Well, you did ask... ;-)

Great book Mike! I picked up a copy last month. Got a quick question for you. What information do you have on the following roman marching camps located in northeastern scotland:
1. roman camp near Dorn
2. normandykes
3. Raedykes

Im planning on visiting them this summer.
