I recently learned about the existence of a solder paste that contains silver instead of tin. Is it applicable like the tin equivalent for silvering a metal surface?
Has anyone done this and what are the results?
Just make sure there's NO lead in it.
If you intend to put it on an eating or drinking surface, it certainly can't have any lead in it. Nor any surface you handle. Matt Amt uses a no-lead solder for coating various things, and it is pretty easy to use (for him anyway). I forgot to ask him about coating the inside of my patera with it this past fabrica, which needs to be done. If he's listening in he'll name the product.
Legio XX
