I have several Favourites linked to this site (particularly the list of RIB) and now I am getting a not available or not accessible message. I have refreshed the search and get the same answer.

Does anyone know what's happened to it? I found it a really useful site Confusedad:
I noticed the same thing a few days back, but assumed it was a temporary glitch. Results from the site no longer come up in google searches either. It would be a shame to lose such an excellent resource...
Well I suppose I'm glad it's not just me but it is a sad loss, if that is the case. Confusedad:
Which one? The old one at the .uk address died a number of years ago, as the guy who built it had MAJOR medical problems. I have brought it back at
The main addy is, of course: [url=http://]http://www.romanobritain.org/

I have been in contact w/ the original builder, Victius and he has some more stuff. Waiting on more contact. All I can tell you.
Marsh
Thanks Marsh, but sadly that's not the same site Confusedad:

Worth a look though!
I think it's a separate site actually - Roman-Britain.org is run by Kevan W White (according to R Vermaat here - although the contact address is via his site...)

All the links for it I can find just get 'server not found'. At least the British Library seem to have archived the site for preservation, whatever that means...

The main thing it's archived at a certain stage but it doesn't sound good, does it? The link they provide is no longer live.
You asked about RIB, vs. RBO they are different. Hmmm., weird, that's the blue/green site. Was working other other week :-o
I did buy the domains www.romans-in-britain.com and www.romans-in-britain.info to go w/ www.romanobritain.org but sure would like to buy THIS domain. Sounds like he let the site die or something. I DIDN'T back that one up.
Also, you can go to the wayback machine at Internet Archive and get this bit. It's better than the Brit one, but they only captured a lot back in 2007, still, it might have what you want. You have to monkey w/ it. http://web.archive.org/web/2007100309262...itain.org/

Thanks, Marsh. That's really helpful.
It seems to be back:

Hurrah!

Better do the list of things I had to check up on before it goes again...which I hope it doesn't!
