Lots of annoying SPAM Can it be stopped?

We've got several anti-spambot measures in place already. What slips through are probably humans who make a living posting spam. I can try to install various other automatic systems, if all members are happy having every single thing they type here checked. Will that stop all? Nope...

You might consider not rewarding them by keeping your topic title neutral though.

Now... ancient Roman escorts ads wouldn't be that bad... Organizing a good ole traditional Roman orgy with slaves, donkeys and all that staff would also be re-enacting, wouldn't it?

Can the system check new members by holding their posts for moderator checks for the first
few days or few posts? That is if the workload wouldn't be excessive. The yahoo groups I work with have the function when they can be set to automatically moderate new members until they are placed on unmoderated status.

And the human mods (are there other kinds?) try and delete the posts as soon as we are aware of them...thanks for the alerting messages byw!

I think this person does nothing but spam. Every day he / she / it puts more crap in the calendar. I tend to use the community feed to see what people are talking about in the forum, and all this stuff shows up there.
