Does ANYONE have a clear, high res pix of this scabbard???

I can't offer a high res photograph unfortunately, but if you want a bit of further information on it, it is from Carnuntum (in Austria) and the details can be found in: Jobst, W, Carnuntum. Das Erbe Roms an der Donau. Katalog der Ausstellung des Archaeologischen Museums Carnuntum in Bad Deutch Altenbug, Carnuntum, 1992

I hope that helps a bit.

Damn thing. I posted a reply and it disappeared >:-(

Anyway, I suppose there's no way to see just that part? I don't really wish to buy more crazy expensive German books (I have a whole library of them). I just want a good pix or drawing to draw out the patterns on the silver plates. I have an idea to try and repro that (Matt Lukes thinks I am nuts. I think I can do something... of course, he is a Meister and i am an ignorant truck driver, but I has me an idear... :-Þ
