Hi

I will be there from Wednesday until the Monday. Any other RATer's going?

On my return I will post some photographs.

Graham.
I'll be there with the Cohors Prima Gallica Wink

Here is the time schedule for the event

That's immense! Must be the largest Roman event anywhere!

And that's with the budget halved... :-| Nothing escapes the "XXI century chrisis"

Photos are always welcolme, we cannot see even the 10% of the event, and it's hard to find an accurate Roman digital camera to carry with us while "on duty"

Perhaps one of your civilians?
Or innocent bystanders. Wink
For those on Facebook: images from Tarraco Viva 2012!
Hi

Just returned! What a great event. I have nearly 3000 photos to sort out but will get some posted here asap, with Robert's help?

Graham.
More Pictures

The event at the Aqueduct. What a stunning location!

More Late Romans

On The Camp Du Mars!

Graham.
Meanwhile, back at the Aqueduct!

So few? Thanks for sharing

Sadly, the late Romans were divided in two separate locations, but the number in each was still impressive.

I hope that you had time to see the other events, we were able to visit the I Germanica at the acueduct too, but that was all...
Over in the arena there were some truly memorable displays of skill and stamina from the Gladiators of Ars Dimicandi!

I missed you Iagoba, all you late Romans look alike! Wink

Many of the events I wanted to see took place around the same time and at widely spaced venues. We found out the hard way that there is no bus back into the city from the Aqueduct but got back courtesy of a very kind couple who gave us a lift! However I think we managed to see a wide range of events in the five days we were there.

Sadly for RAT viewers, in spite of a Press badge, I was not allowed to take photographs at the 'Adults only ' event beneath the arches of the Hippodrome of the shy and retiring Roman prostitutes!

More pictures to follow.

Graham.
Looks good(especially the weather)!
Marvellous pictures.

The ladies are certainly setting high standards! Thank you for sharing.

(I wrote that before you added the bit about the prostitutes!! Confusedhock: Although I am sure they are just as authentic  )
Hmmm , that sounds like censorship of the worst kind!! Wink
