Were any of the Falco series ever done on TV in any format? Sorry if I missed any earlier discussion on the topic.
The BBC was supposed to be making a major series, and three scripts were prepared.
However, nothing ever came of it and the last thing Lindsey Davis heard, although they were still very interested it seems unlikey it will happen now that the Beeb are doing 'Rome' with HBO. Bugger.
Anyway, Columbia TV did make a film version of 'The Silver Pigs'. This however, discarded the plot, changed most of the characters' personalities (Falco, I believe, became a middle aged slave owner) and basically made a mess of the whole thing. It seems that the only real bit of Falco in it was a scene from 'Shadows in Bronze', which Columbia did not have the rights to.
Was the Columbia film the one starring Brian Brown and Amanda Pays which was filmed some time in the mid 1990s?
